Montana Ballet Company (MBC), under the direction of Elizabeth DeFanti and Amy Lynn Stoddart announces its Second Annual Carnival of the Animals on Saturday, February 22 at The Emerson Cultural Center's Crawford Theatre. This production is generously underwritten by NorthWestern Energy, Community Works and All West Veterinary.

On the heels of sold out performances of its 30th Anniversary Nutcracker, Montana Ballet Company will again present itsCarnival of the Animals, set to Saint-Saens famous score. Bringing to life an endearing menagerie of animals, this performance will delight children and adults alike.Dance enthusiasts will recognize the famous "Dying Swan" originally choreographed by Mikhail Fokine in 1905 for acclaimed ballerina Anna Pavlova to the cello solo.

MBC will again partner with Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter and The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company bring in your Carnival of the Animals ticket and receive 20% off any item in the store. MBC is also excited to collaborate with esteemed local musicians Julia Cory, John Ford, Samuel Park and Stefan Stern, among others for this production.

Opening the performance will be two Bozeman-premiere ballets choreographed by MBC's Co-Artistic Directors and Mobile Ballet Director, Winthrop Corey.

As a special treat, there will be pre-show children's activities such as face painting, animal balloons, and more from 3 - 4 PM in the Emerson Ballroom.
