Bozeman Film Fest screens her

The Bozeman Film Festival presents film director Spike Jonze's newest film, her at 7:30 pm Thursday, March 13th in the Emerson's Crawford Theatre. Winner of a Golden Globe Award and nominated for five Oscars, her is set in Los Angeles in the near future and follows Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix), a complex, soulful man who makes his living by writing touching personal letters for other people.

Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced computer operating system, which promises to be an intuitive entity in its own right, specific to each user. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet "Samantha," a bright, insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny female voice. As her needs and desires grow in tandem with his, their friendship deepens into an eventual love for each other. Rotten Tomatoes gives the movie a 94% rating, while film critic Richard Roeper declares her to be "...one of the more original, hilarious and even heartbreaking stories of the year."

Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara and Scarlett Johansson, the film is rated R and runs 126 minutes.
Tickets are $8/General and $7/Students & Seniors, available at Cactus Records and in the Emerson's lobby one hour before the film. Enjoy a no-host social hour from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Visit Bozemanfilmfestival.org for previews and up-to-date information
