Wild Things
7:30 PM
Emerson Cultural Center
Description:
Please join NRDC, Gallatin Wildlife Association and Sierra Club for a screening of NRDC's documentary Wild Things, a film about the USDA's Wildlife Services' war on native carnivores. Wild Things introduces audiences to progressive ranchers learning to coexist with these animals and features scientists, conservationists and even former Wildlife Services trappers, who believe it is time for a major change in the way we treat our magnificent native carnivores.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A moderated by NRDC Wildlife Advocate Zack Strong. Panelists include: Doug Smith, PhD, Senior Wolf Biologist for Yellowstone National Park; film participant Becky Weed, owner and operator of Thirteen Mile Lamb & Wool Company; and John Shivik, PhD, former Wildlife Services researcher and Mammal Program Coordinator for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
