Author Event with Thomas McNamee
7:00 PM
Country Bookshelf
If you are ever fortunate enough to hear the howling of Yellowstone wolves, once you have read this book, you will always think of Wolves Nine and Ten. If you ever see a Yellowstone wolf, chances are it will be carrying their DNA.

The restoration of the wolf to Yellowstone came perilously close to going wrong, but it didn't. It is now recognized as one of conservation's greatest achievements, and Wolves Nine and Ten will always be known as its emblematic heroes.

Thomas McNamee is also the author of Nature First: Keeping Our Wild Places and Wild Creatures Wild; Alice Waters and Chez Panisse: The Romantic, Impractical, Often Eccentric, Ultimately Brilliant Making of a Food Revolution; and The Man Who Changed the Way We Eat: Craig Claiborne and the American Food Renaissance. His essays, poems, reporting, and reviews have appeared in The New Yorker, Audubon, Natural History, High Country News, Town & Country, Saveur, The Washington Post, and The New York Times. He wrote the PBS documentary Alexander Calder, which won a Peabody Award and an Emmy.
