Description:
The Art Crossing is a unique outdoor sculpture exhibit. Located in downtown Bozeman, Montana, the exhibit hosts a variety of artwork, introducing viewers to many artistic approaches. Sculptures will remain on Main street to be displayed for a period of one year.
Join us on July 12th for the installation of multiple sculptures in downtown Bozeman area. At the end of the year there will be the Peoples Choice Awards. We will place a ballot in the newspaper for people to cut out and send in with their vote. The Board of Directors will use this as a guide to make the final decision, and will decide which sculpture to purchase and display permanently in Bozeman.
The public is encouraged to explore each sculpture through individual viewing, and hands-on interaction. The exhibit includes pieces that speak to the history of our region or to our cultural heritage, while other sculptures return us to our youth. Some are whimsical and irreverent while others evoke a deep emotion or provide social commentary. One of the goals of the Art Crossing program will be to add at least one piece to the permanent collection every year. This program incorporates a variety of techniques to raise the necessary funds, including community challenges and solicitation of individual and business contributions.
If you have a piece of art that you would like to display for the 2008-2009 show, please contact Tate@chamberlinproductions.com
