Montana may not be known as a breeding ground for reggae-rock bands, but Bozeman-
based Landlocked has thrived by creating unique, soulful music that reminds the listener
more of surfing and beach parties than ski huts and barn dances. But that's not to say that
they play straightforward island rock. Landlocked's sound starts with reggae and then
takes a left turn into funk and hip-hop, with a live show that sometimes rises to the manic
energy of punk rock.

The inclusion of ukulele as a lead instrument, played by Hawaii-born Tim Garcia, adds
an organic element to the music, complementing the technical, forceful electric guitar
playing of Eric Bee. Lead singer David Siataga moves from smooth R&B vocals to a
powerful dancehall attack, all while trading rap verses with high-spirited Josh Mori.
Sam Krutsch and Loren Block's focused rhythm section offers an aggressive, danceable
backdrop to sing-along choruses about good times, girls, and the occasional bar fight.

Landlocked has shared the stage with leading reggae and rock bands such as Rebelution,
Iration, The Dirty Heads, State Radio, and Pacific Dub. Their recent EP album Butterfly
Kickboxing debuted on the iTunes Top 25 Reggae Albums chart.
It was only 12 months ago that the Canadian Music Industry awarded Elaine Lil'Bit
Shepherd with the Juno for "Reggae Recording of the Year". With high anticipation,
Vancouver based singer Lil'Bit is nearing the release date of her debut album
entitled "MOVE YA". The album was produced by the legendary John Forbes, who
founded the 70's group Chalawa, and was mastered by JT Edmondson at Paranoyd
Studio where Shepherd recorded her EP "Lady In The Streets". It features the works of
talented fellow musicians Matthew Reid, Richard Brown, Andycakes, Dylan Munro, DJ
Graham Morley & Shugarboy, Nikhilesh Nayar, Devon Martin and more. It also includes
her Juno winning single, "Likkle But Mi Tallawah", and a rendition of the Peaches &
Herb classic "Four's A Traffic Jam" Ft. Tinga Stewart and co-produced by the highly
respected Glen Ricketts. "MOVE YA" is a 12 track cross-genre album that is rooted
in Reggae and is infused with the sounds of R&B, Soft Rock, Disco, Jazz and Adult
Contemporary.

In the Canadian music industry, only a few Reggae singers have gained acclamation
and success. Born in Bahrain with a multicultural background, Shepherd is one of
the leading Reggae artists in Canada with highly successful songs such as "Lady
In The Streets", "Dignified Woman", and the 2011 Marijuana Music Awarded
single "Sensimilla". In 2009 she released her EP entitled "Lady In The Streets", which hit
the music charts across the globe. Due to the success achieved by this young artist in such
a short time, she was quickly recognized and welcomed as a "Celebrity Judge" to the
Shaw TV Urban Star Contest. Immediately her personality was adored by many of the
viewing fans who started making demands for music and for performances in their cities.
As her fans continue to grow and her musical direction expands, she has crossed genres
and released a number of collaborative singles into the market. Stay Tuned....
