Other area concerts will be presented by the Friends of Big Sky Education at the Rainbow Ranch near Big Sky July 13 (friendsofbigskyeducation.org, 406.995.7951) and St. Timothy's Concerts at Georgetown Lake July 15 (sttimothysmusic.org). The St. Timothy's concert will feature the premiere of a chamber version of Copland's Lincoln Portrait, arranged by Dr. Ilse-Mari Lee. In addition, a benefit concert July 14 in support of MCMS will feature Festival musicians in the intimate setting of a Bozeman area home.

This year's Festival's artists include Muir first violinist Peter Zazofsky, Bozeman native and Muir Quartet founding cellist Michael Reynolds and violinist Bayla Keyes, pianist Jason Hardink, bassoonist Kathleen Reynolds, hornist William Scharnberg, cellist Ilse-Mari Lee, violist Brant Bayless, clarinetist Alex Fiterstein, bassist Paul Glenn, and special guest accordionist Christina Crowder. Grammy-winning artists who have performed in Carnegie Hall, the White House, the Sydney Opera House, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and many other international venues join again in western Montana to perform works from the great chamber music literature. The Muir Quartet has performed over 2,000 concerts worldwide, as well as nearly 50 European tours, and has received a Grammy nomination and a Grammy on the EcoClassics label.
