11Eleven Project Worldwide Film Screening
6:00 PM Montana State University
Description:
Join us for a free, public event hosted by the Montana State University student chapter of Amnesty International!
On 11/11/11, people all over the world were asked to go out and capture a part of their day using film, photography, music, sound and text. This global storytelling initiative brought people from 179 countries together to express to humanity a vision of "a day in the life of the world".
Fundamentally, the project aims to bring communities together and hopes to plant a seed of compassion. By bringing the world together as one, we open up the opportunity for people to view our planet as a singular entity. This is an opportunity to illustrate the commonalities amongst all people and to witness the shared experience amongst every human being living on planet earth. With this representation may come an enlightened sense of global awareness, responsibility and recognition.
Join us at MSU on November 11, 2012, when Bozeman will be a part of the worldwide screening of the 11Eleven Project, and help bring the world a little closer together!
The 11Eleven Project is totally not-for-profit. Profits from the sales of DVDs and other products will be split equally between six chosen charities:
Save the Children
WWF
Opportunity International
Hamlin Fistula
Global Voices
The Hunger Project
