Missoula Author Visits Mark Matthews, author of Smoke Jumping on the Western Fire Line: Conscientious Objectors During World War II, will be at the Library on Wednesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. to discuss his book about one important group of men who volunteered for Civilian Public Service during World War II. Matthews is also the author of A Great Day to Fight Fire: Mann Gulch, 1949. Learn more about the history of smoke jumping and fire in Montana at this free program open to the public.
