The Downtown Bozeman
Association, Downtown Bozeman art galleries and participating downtown
businesses are proud to present this summer’s Downtown Bozeman ArtWalks. The
ArtWalks
occur on the 2nd Friday of the month June through September from 6
to 8PM in
Downtown Bozeman. The galleries feature artists’ openings and receptions and
often provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
This year’s sponsors include
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle, KMMS AM 1450, 95.1 “The Moose”, Insty Prints, and
First Security Bank. The dates for this
year’s ArtWalks are: June 13th, July 11th, August 8th,
September 12th and a
“special” Hatchfest Artwalk on Wednesday, October 1st.

are available at all the participating
galleries and businesses listed below and at the Downtown Visitor’s Center
located at 224 East Main St.
(next door to MacKenzie River Pizza Co.).
The participating galleries along with their featured
artists for June’s Art Walk are as follows:
Alara is featuring jewelry artist Bagués from
Bacelona. Bagués is the last remaining
jewelry artist in the world who creates Art Nouveau jewelry. A
fifth-generation designer, Bagués also uses the Art Nouveau enameling
techniques on more contemporary forms and shapes, for a collection that is
broad in appeal and unusual in its execution.

Gallery is featuring their talented gallery artists
Chaparral Fine Art is featuring Sculptor Rod Zullo who will
be unveiling a special casting of his sold-out bronze, "A Good Life."
Mr. Zullo has created this casting as a fund-raiser for his dear friend Sharon
Conser McCartney, who was seriously injured in a car accident this winter. A talented silversmith and long-time
Chaparral employee, Sharon
now finds herself facing many months of physical therapy. Rod and is very generously donating the
proceeds of the sale of "A Good Life" towards Sharon's ongoing medical costs. Rod will also be sculpting live during the
ArtWalk, and will be available to answer questions about process, technique and
composition for fans of his work.

ERA Landmark is featuring panoramic
photographs by Craig Hergert who will also be doing a book signing for his book
of Montana panoramic
photography and there will also be live music during the walk by Michael Videon

local artist Debb Rogers

Gallery is debuting
their new “Giclee Gallery” featuring a room dedicated to high quality canvas
giclees by Nancy Glazier, Chris Owen, Nancy Cawdrey and other top Western
artists.

Room displays) featuring the Stephanie Frostad Painting Exhibit with her
current body of oil paintings, "In
and Out of the Woods" utilizing fables and allegories as catalysts for
narrative content. Imaginary characters and open-ended stories are set in moody
yet realistic landscapes.
Leaf and Bean is featuring photographs by John
Layshock, watercolors by Marsha Karle and paintings by Pam Carlson

present projects. Don McLaughlin has
been practicing architecture in Bozeman,
MT for 30 years and this is a
collection of sketches by Don and his employees.
Rocky Mountain Rug Gallery is featuring the
finest in Persian and Turkish handcrafted rugs.
Studio Boone is featuring
Chinese brush work paintings by Stephen Boone
Tart is
featuring “Tight Wires Between Us, Pegs Too Deep Too Uproot,” with pen and
marker drawings by Courtney Blazon which were inspired by fragments of Sylvia
Plath poems.
Tierney Fine Art is featuring American, Western, and Sporting Art
The Yarn Shop is featuring the art of feltmaking with several
regional felt artists.
Visions West Gallery is featuring fabulist
painter Jerry Cornelia. Cornelia's paintings are filled with tales, stories and
fables of an imaginary landscape somewhere between Sidney,
Montana and New York City, where he resided for many
years designing windows of department stores and painting manequins.
