Byron Caughey, Ph.D. will speak on "Prion Diseases: Mad Cows, Wasting
Deer, Cannibals, etc." Dr. Caughey, a biochemist with NIH's Rocky
Mountain Laboratories, is well-known for his research on mad cow
disease and its human equivalent, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. A
reception will follow his lecture.
