After last year's exciting and successful Montana Beer Festival, where over 3,000 people congregated to celebrate beer, brewers, and the beer lovers, we happily extend this invitation to you to attend the Second Annual Montana Beer Festival (MBF) on Friday, April 11, 2008, at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman, MT. The Montana Beer Festival is the best way for you to sip on the abundant hand-crafted beers, barley wines and non-alcoholic ales of the Northern Rockies. And, April 11 is Bridger Bowl's closing weekend and the community will be in full gear to celebrate.
Come out and help celebrate the quality and diversity in beer styles and breweries that exist in Montana and across the Northern Rockies. We want you to know why the breweries and beers at the MBF make the Northern Rockies one of the best places on earth to raise a toast.
We learned a great deal from 2007's festival and these are some changes that are being made for 2008:
* a fourth building will be added that will feature the pairing of food and beer, * the layout of the floor plan will change just a bit to allow two buildings, instead of one, to be filled by brewers, with access from outdoors, * there will be no wooden nickels this year, just a flat entrance fee that will buy attendees their custom MBF 6-oz. glasses and unlimited pours, * and, one of Bozeman's wonderful non-profits, Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS), will provide the MBF with a dedicated pool of volunteers who will help pour beer.
To keep the energy rockin', MBF will provide entertainment by:
CLUMSY LOVERS a hard-touring, fun-loving, roots-minded, acoustic rockers from Vancouver, BC ... their live show is not to be missed, and will make a perfect Beer Fest headliner!
EUFORQUESTRA the self-proclaimed "Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk" touches on such genres as Afrobeat, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Soca, Calypso, Funk, Reggae, and Bluegrass - a 9-piece band that will march the festival, samba style.
