Free class on Carmen

Description:
Local music teacher and opera singer Suzanne Gorder will present her perspective on the story and music in “Carmen” in a free class Saturday, May 10, at 2 PM at the Bozeman Public Library Community Room. Gorder, who has sung with opera companies in San Francisco, San Diego, Europe and Israel, presents these classes every year as part of the IOA’s outreach program. People who attend Gorder’s class can also attend the dress rehearsal for “Carmen.”
The IOA performances of Bizet’s beloved opera open at 7 PM will be May 14 and 16 at 7 PM and May 18 at 3 PM. Tickets are still on sale at the IOA office in downtown Bozeman (phone 585-7545) or on-line (go to operabozeman.org for the link).
