The White House Project at MSU on October 20
The MSU Leadership Institute will host The White House Project workshop on Saturday, October 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in MSU's Strand Union Building Ballrooms. The workshop is open to all women, and costs $5.00 for students, and $10.00 for the general public. A registration form may be obtained by visiting the MSU AskUs Desk or the MSU Leadership Institute, both of which are located in the Strand Union Building.
The White House Project, founded in 1998 by Marie C. Wilson, is an organization designed to help women emerge as active leaders in business and politics up to the U.S. presidency. It is dedicated to coaching and inspiring women to become the new leaders in society and to diversify the workplace among all disciplines. Students will be able to participate in leadership workshops that will teach the ambition and creativity necessary for successful leadership and also see why women are critical in effective leadership. Faculty and staff will be able to mentor these emerging leaders after a day of workshops and networking sessions. Katie Groke Ellis, the Program Manager for The White House Project, will lead the event and also moderate the discussion panel. The day will close with a Strategic Story Telling "How To."
Registration forms must be postmarked by Friday, October 12th, as seating is limited. The fee includes a complementary lunch.
