2Mex of the SonGodSuns and Visionaries is earning the title of The Hardest Working Man in Underground Hip-Hop. Hailing from Mid-City, this Los Angeles underground veteran began building his name at the famed original Good Life Café in Lemiert Park as one half of the duo OMD (Of Mexican Descent with partner Xololxinxco), and is a member of the Project Blowed Afterlife crew. Touring the world with his group, Visionaries, 2Mex is becoming a favorite amongst audiences across the globe. He has released 2 Visionaries albums, “Galleries” and “Sophomore Jinx” on Up Above Records, an album with OMD “Exitos Y Mas Exitos” (Nerve Deafness Records), his solo effort “B-Boys in Occupied Mexico” (MEMO Records), and the “Mind Clouders Fake It Until You Make It” project with producer Mums the Word. 2Mex released his long awaited Songodsums album entitled, “Over the Counter Culture,” in 2005. The Songodsuns album features the high powered production of: Polyhedron, Life Rexall of the Shape Shifters, DJ Khalil of Self-Scientific, Sa-Ra Creative Partners, KeyKool of Visionaries, Omid of Beneath the Surface, Cynic of Street Platoon, and Babu the Dilated Junkie.
The SMOB developed out of friendship and loyalty this is a group of individuals formed together as a crew. Originating from the Southwest hip hop culture the SMOB is now based out of the Valley of the Sun. Each individual possesses their own style and uniqueness which brings and develops diversity in the hip hop community. The SMOB has performed in various venues throughout the west coast and is establishing a strong following. Taken from the roots of underground hip hop, the SMOB portrays everyday life with complex rhymes and truth of logic. Guided by will and conscious minds the SMOB is dedicated to invading the airwaves. The group consists of three main members, 11-B, Stoic and Kreechr. Action creates energy and these individuals create action to provide for an implausible performance.
