Six MSU faculty members will deliver lectures during the 2018-19 academic year as part of the university’s sixth annual Provost’s Distinguished Lecturer Series.

Montana State University has announced the lineup of faculty members who will deliver lectures during the 2018-19 academic year as part of the university’s sixth annual Provost’s Distinguished Lecturer Series.

The series of free, public talks recognizes outstanding MSU faculty for their creative scholarship and leadership. Faculty presenting in the series will speak on the inspirations for their work in talks aimed at both professionals and the public alike.

Unless otherwise noted, lectures will be held in the Hager Auditorium at the Museum of the Rockies. Lectures will begin at 7 p.m., and each will be followed by a reception at 8 p.m.

This year’s lecturers are:

Sept. 17 – Elizabeth Rink, Department of Health and Human Development
Oct. 9 – Eric Funk, School of Music (to be held at Reynolds Recital Hall)
Nov. 29 – Luther Talbert, Department of Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology
Feb. 12 – Sarah Codd, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
March 5 – Gretchen Minton, Department of English
April 9 – Blake Wiedenheft, Department of Microbiology & Immunology
