“Matilda, the Musical” is Performed through special arrangement with Music Theatre International

Anderson School brings another full length musical to the Emerson’s Crawford Theatre. In its 25th year of extravagant theatrical productions, Anderson promises “Matilda, The Musical” will not disappoint. Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, this Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of Matilda, an extraordinary girl who, armed with a wonderful spirit and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her destiny. Packed with high energy dance numbers and memorable tunes, “Matilda!” is funny, ruckus and wise. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of a special little girl with an extraordinary imagination, tenacity and resilience. Some of the most notable songs include “Naughty,” “When I Grow Up,” and “Revolting Children.” In the tradition of Anderson productions, the “Matilda” set an incredible artist feat. An army of creative parents have created a world of letters, wrapping the stage in scrabble tiles. The rest of the set is a blend of letter blocks and shapes that represent the literary passions of our young heroine.
