Description:
Thursday, October 11th at 6pm – Author Event with James Thull and Heather Hultman for Montana State University, Bozeman: A Campus History, at Country Bookshelf.

We’re celebrating Homecoming week with historians James Thull and Heather Hultman as they share their new history about Bozeman’s own Montana State University. Founded in 1893 in Bozeman, Montana, MSU is the state’s land-grant university, with a mission to educate students, create knowledge and art, and serve communities by integrating learning, discovery, and engagement. Over its 125-year history, the university has grown from its original class of eight students to today’s more than 16,000 from across the United States and over 70 nations. Sports, MSU’s annual American Indian Council Pow Wow, and outdoor recreation facilitate avenues for education, exercise, and entertainment for faculty, staff, and students, creating invaluable experiences that last a lifetime. This slim volume packs in the history and shares a variety of historical images of the campus through the years. James J. Thull, MA, MLIS, CA, is an associate professor as well as librarian of the Merrill J. Burlingame Special Collections at MSU. Heather C. Hultman, MLIS, CA, is an archival assistant.
